Took a picture today of my bike before I start crashing it. Really wish I could use my canon 70-200 2.8 on the Nikon. O well this will work for now.

They make adapters that would allow to use the Canon on the Nikon.

Ohh man. I totally forgot! Gonna order one asap. It was nikon to canon that they dont make. I forgot you can do canon to nikon. If I remember correctly auto focus wont work with those correct? I also have a 2.8 24-70 which I miss playing with as well.

I may be totally wrong on this after doing some investigating. It looks like you can get adapter to use Nikon lenses with Canon cameras, but not the other way around.
Most of the info that I found was from a couple of years ago, so it may no longer be valid either. I'm not familiar with Nikon stuff, so I can't search specifically.

This would have turned out great if I had left it for a few more frames. It was too cold for my husband.

Boost_lee and onzedge like this.

I wish the car itself was lit a little more. What if you did a shot like this and then light painted the car so it stands out a little more in another shot and Photoshop them both together?

Looks cool though.

That's planned for after I get the right set up for just the stars. I could have swapped in an earlier shot of the car that was well lit thanks to the moon but I wanted the real focus to be on the stars.

IDK anything about astronomy, but do stars move like that everywhere or is it different for different parts of the earth?

All I know:

It's different depending on what direction you face and how far into the night you are. If you have the north star in your shot, it will remain stationary and the rotation will be around it. If you shoot away from it, it can vary from part of a circle to this:

The one with the 350 I used about seventy 30 second frames with ISO 1600. The 370 I used about eighteen 20 second frames and a lower ISO to help with the moonlight. The one above this was bulb mode and open for ~3 minutes or so with ISO 1600 just to see what it would show.

Most of the movement is the rotation of Earth, not the movement on the stars.
