Here are a few of my latest attempts at something good. Sorry if the white balance or colors are off, I'm working on a very outdated laptop.

Washington surprised me with a clear afternoon on a day when it was raining all morning and managed to catch the solar eclipse last week.

This little guy has been so hard to get pics of. He's soooo fast and his coat never turns out very detailed. I cranked up the shutter speed, overexposed the shots a little and shot with the sun to my back on these and they finally turned out ok...

There are my two favorites from last night. One is from a bridge downtown, obviously, that had some "gateway" lights installed. Most of us call it a dinosaur bridge.
The other is from a light display event at Waller Creek Tunnel. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7524/...a2b8a7b9_c.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7547/...824f07ce_c.jpg |
Nice perspective in those shots! What is that in the second shot?
I'm so excited, got a new Canon 5D Mark III coming in the mail Wednesday, a Canon 28mm F1.8 being delivered hopefully next week, and this morning I'm going to pick-up a slightly used Canon 70-200 F4 IS! Game on! Anyone used that 28mm F1.8? The thing is pretty incredible. |
