Thanks guys and gals! I'd share a few more but I don't want to clutter the thread.

This was a whoopsie since I forgot to turn on my flash but I like how it turned out, coulda been better with a polarizer but it was dim enough as it was and ISO1000 was pushing it.

Err 05 on my T3 :(

I don't trust myself to try to force the flash up to clean the spring.

Good incentive to not use the pop up flash ;)

I never do. However, I have a buyer lined up for next week and I ensured him that everything was working fine. :(

Is the flash stuck or are you just getting an error?

Oh, in that case, I need to STFU.

This is relative to a 7D, but I don't why it would be different on your Rebel. It's at least a starting point: Uh oh: EOS 7D pop-up flash not openings, Flash control menu options incorrect - Canon Digital Photography Forums

It might be the something as simple as debris caught in the mechanism that pop's it up. If you hear it clicking & trying to pop up, something got stuck in there. You can try to GENTLY help it pop-up while it's clicking...but don't force it.

If you don't hear it clicking....sounds like you may have to bring it in. Are you out of the warranty period?

Took advantage of some nice weather this past Sunday and met up with some friends, stopped by the airport first though:

For some reason I never saw this or LunaZ's response. I read up on the issue and was able to use my fingernail to lift it up while pushing the release button. I was able to get it working enough to sell it but then the buyer started having issues. I never registered it with Canon so I asked him to try to do that and go through the warranty if possible. If not, I told him that what I read was that the spring needed to be cleaned and maybe use a drop of WD40 on a Q-Tip on the spring.

I'm now having withdrawals. :(
