#2 has better depth and contrast to show the water droplets, but I'd like to see you back down the vignette a little.

It's more interesting. It's looks more like it's capturing movement instead of freezing a specific moment.

Also, just got back from my trip to Maine and took some pics along the way. I'll post some higher res versions later tonight.

#2 also

Went with a version of #2 with the filter down to 50%. Hope it gets recognized. Thanks peeps.

+1 Agree. I like the increased saturation but the vignetting is a little over the top. In #2 did you use a polarizing filter or is it all software?

So I like some of the night time shots. Can you give us any info on aperature/time etc. I'd like to shoot some cool nighttime shots sometime when I'm away from the city lights but I dont' know a lot about how to do it. I'm assuming you were using a tripod and using long exposures???

All Photoshop.

Adobe Lightroom before/after...
(Photo Experts: The actual pictures might not be shot the best way or have the best lighting. Thats why I rely on Lightroom to make my photos shine a bit more.)

Much better after light room, but maybe a little overkill on the car ie front end. Kit lens?

Kit lens :( Front end is exposed probably too much.

Im saving up for better equipment. Just trying to learn as much as possible during the time being.

Heres one with better lighting.

Try selecting the overexposed front end of the car and adjusting the exposure, reducing the highlights, etc.

On the white car shot, it looks like the car has gone flat as you've done things to enhance the rest of the shot. Try isolating the car and adjusting it separately.

I personally prefer my mid-tones a bit darker, but that shot is good regardless of my preference.

BTW, try shooting at 55mm with 5.6 aperture. That gives you a softer background and a longer focal length which is pleasing for car shots. I find that anywhere between 50-105 is a sweet spot for car shots, plus a sweeter background.
