Ordered this just to see if the film infrared can be duplicated in any way...the photoshop doesnt look like true infrared. I'll let you guys know what i think of t

I bought that same one. I've tried it a few times, but the weather has been mostly cloudy and overcast. Not a whole lot of leaves on the trees yet, so I'm not really seeing a whole lot of Wood's effect. I have noticed that you can do a lot of cool black & white photo's with it. They come out really contrasty once you desaturate.

On another note, I bought a set of Hoya filters to replace my cheap polarizer and ND filter.

 :iagree: on all fronts.

The Polaroid IR was 1/4 the cost of the Hoya. If it works I will upgrade to the Hoya but I am not expectin anythign spectacular...sure do wish winter would go on it's grumpy way.:shakes head:

It's like one of those gay tests. If you notice the shark...

I know... this girl needs some help from the liquefy tool.
I need to let go of reality when it comes to my editing

I have a 7D as well. You will love it. What lenses are you pairing it with?

Check out the Sigma 30mm designed for crop sensors. I loved that lens for the week I used it.

I actually have that lens. I use Sigma 30 and Canon 85 with my 7D. :)

85 1.8 is all I use besides my 18-55. The 85 is front focusing on me a bit, but so has every other lens I put on my current t2i... weak sauce. So we'll see what happens, been wanting a 7D for a long time and hopefully it was my t2i that was out of calibration. If not, a simple lens cal on the camera will do the trick. Plus, the silent shooting mode on the 7D for my external flashes + live view + my nexus tablet + dslr controller = awesome! Can't wait to do that!

I use two main lenses with my 7D -- 24-70 2.8L and 70-200 2.8 L IS II.

They are both great lenses and very versatile.

Hmm...

I am pretty sure these are keepers-for-life -- like my Z's.
