Hey Guys-

Update: Ended up spending my money on a brand new NIKON D5100 from Best Buy. They were able to price match Walmarts Pricing online for $499. I also picked up a 32GB Extreme SD card that was $99 at best buy but got it for $31.

I took a bunch of photos with the camera. I am overall very pleased with it. I need to do more research on how to mess with the camera and settings...

Here are a couple of pictures that I took with the camera.

It was my first day ever shooting RAW, so be easy on me!

P.S I think I need to invest in a better lens or that could just be me...

Some tips, I hope you don't mind :tiphat:

1st Image:
The garage shot is okay, but it's a little noisy and the lighting is a bit off. Next time, set it on a tripod...or anything steady and try theses settings:
-Set the ISO to 200. This will keep the noise low.
-Leave it in "A" Aperture priority and set the aperture to f/8 or f/11. This will keep most of the subject in focus.
-Get a remote or set the timer to take the shot. This will keep everything sharp.
-Leave the flash off. You can play around with natural lighting. The built-in flash will wash everything out. Don't use it unless you're just taking a picture instead of a photograph, if you know what I mean.

2nd Image:
-great pic of a really cute dog
-next time, try getting lower to the ground.

3rd Image:
-looks great, but it's a bit too busy....too many things in the frame that's distracting. The car kind of gets lost.

Overall a great start. Just need to work on your technique a bit. You'll get the hang of it with some practice. Keep at it:tup:

Nice to see some constructive criticism here, something that someone can learn from.
