You may want to consider getting a hotshoe level - a three way one can be pretty handy.
Of course, for slightly more you could get a camera with a built-in level with live view

Thanks guys! i sold my t3i to my brother and bought a D7000 kit + 70-300 nikor zoom lens. He's all excited to get into this with me now hehe.
We went to the zoo today, and i think we are going to the aquarium tomorrow haha. Here is a shot from dinner
