Great ty again for the advice, rep coming your way! ** sorry i cant give you anymore rep right now lol... I gave it to alchemy instead :)

I wonder if the older F4 300mm prime would have anything to do with this or if its all WB settings in the camera.

I have replaced the old with a new F4 300mm, still no IS but AF and much much better CA with the new lens. I have yet to do any outings with it other than the the harbor shots i have. And most of those seem blueish. I will try your WB trick

Still using my 105mm 2.8 nikkor for macro though.

And Alchemy, macro is with out a doubt my favorite thing right now. There is usually something interesting to capture right in your own back yard :icon17:

HKYStormFront 08-25-2011 02:25 PM

nah that's mostly having to do with the camera and it's perceived "guess" of what the correct WB is

First attempt at bracketing and HDR. My kit lens was used as its the only wide angle i have at the moment so the shot is quite soft. Plus it was the first time i used CS5 lol... Im looking at the tokina 11-16, or 12-24 to replace my wide angle needs.

Saw some salmon jumping, but it was to dark to catch them. Going back for another attempt this weekend.

Very nice. Wish it didnt have the stripe.

HKYStormFront 08-29-2011 06:10 PM

meh, it breaks up the monotone-ness of it. i liked it with the stripe personally, and that's coming from a person that isn't a fan of them. stay tuned for the whole set before passing judgement

speaking of facebook... they've changed the picture viewer again and it is absolutely murdering photo quality. i look at that picture and it doesn't even look close to what the actual picture looks like. it's washed out, too contrasty and majorly de-rezzed  facebook :shakes head:

once i get done with all the ferrari shots i'll put them on my website which doesn't compress or alter them in any way, you will see a huge difference

GTHAUS 08-30-2011 08:44 AM

Looking forward to seeing the full set!

I put up this teaser last night (of my personal stuff, nothing to do with work)
