i focused on the knob but should've used a larger f/stop as my stereo is blurred... :icon14:

hard to tell in the low resolution pic honestly. overall exposure and balance settings look pretty good. maybe up a bit on the recovery so the reflection off of the airbag sign and the knob don't look as bright?

you should use a low f-stop on the gtr start button :p

kenchan 08-01-2011 05:39 PM

a tad nicer...(?)

woo! thanks for that. i didnt even notice the SRS indicator over exposure. i need to fix that fo sure.

kenchan 08-01-2011 05:47 PM

i couldn't recover the SRS indicator overexposure enough, i'll re-take the shot.

for now i guess i'll use a another angle for the knob closeup..

phelan- you mentioned 'low resolution'...

i did a quick resolution comparison between Nick's squirrel shot (240 pixels/inch) where as mine is 300 pixel/inch while image side is smaller to meet the370z.com limit.

i used a tripod with 2 sec delay to take the interior picts with the garage door open. other than the lens and camera limitation, i think my f-stop and focus point is out of wack. :icon17: will re-take using a larger f/stop number...

nick- is there anything else to look for with resolution in mind? im using maximum jpeg file size on PSElements9.

I tried to this this little guy to slow down for a second but.. this was as in focus as i could get him with out a tripod. Had to use manual with the 50mm.

=P

phelan 08-01-2011 06:23 PM

resolution is the wrong word i think, the image size is what i'm looking for. it's tiny enough that i can't see the details :rofl2:

Nitex 08-01-2011 06:25 PM

nitex- i take it you like insects? :icon17:

Ken, anything alive is more fun for me to shoot.. Took the new cam to the beach after purchasing the canon 55-250 lens :icon17: Flower shot was with my canon 50mm fixed though.

Parker, that spider shot is crazy good!

Shots look great! My only suggestion, and this is because I'm anal with that kinda stuff. I would try to clean up a little bit of the noise in a few of the pictures.

And if we're talking about insects...
