I was thinking picasa.... any good?

phelan 07-31-2011 07:46 PM

i tried picasa for a bit, it seemed awkward to me. but i dunno, maybe with more experience it'll get better? i just hated the 3rd party program i had to dl

Red__Zed 07-31-2011 07:48 PM

I am not a fan of picasa. I'm thinking about setting up my own site to host from.

I use SmugMug to host my photos. It's not the cheapest option but I like their offering. Check it out. http://www.smugmug.com.

yah, i was thinking about doing my own site too someday.

I use smugmug with my own domain. I've thought about several times getting away from smugmug, but each time it doesn't make a whole lot of sense due to how much it would cost to host elsewhere, plus the overall cost of a flash template. Smugmug is actually pretty cheap if you get to thinking about it in the grand scheme of things.

If you do decide to go with smugmug, you can go here [ https://secure.smugmug.com/signup.mg...=f6Yg2M3XHzlSc ] and get $5 off... And it also helps me out too! The cool thing is you can to a 1 month trial of any account level.

Your one with no editing looks better than the one with, at least on my screen.

With the edit you actually made the picture look underexposed.
