Go Pro help
I picked up a new Hero 4 and have it mounted in the rear, but really need help in getting the settings correct. As pictured below, the interior shot looks great, but there's so much light coming from the windshield I can't see a darn thing on the road.

Try playing with the exposure and ISO also depending on the time of the day you are recording it will change. If youre recording in the middle of the day 12pm. Then the lighting isnt going to be the best.

Turn on spot metering. Had the exact same thing happen when I'd record autox runs. After I changed to spot metering the issue went away.
Here's a couple videos with spot metering turned on. |
A polarized lens filter helps alot. I use them.

There's a "pro exposure" slider in the GoPro app that let's you control the exposure directly. I typically set it to -1 or -2 stops if the camera is mounted inside the cabin.

Thanks Guys, I really appreciate the help.

yah, spot metering is key as gomer posted.
also probably better to place the camera a tad forward.. i have my ancient hero2 mounted on the passenger headrest posts using a custom bracket. |

Where in the rear are you guys mounting too ? On the hatch glass ? Mines keeps falling off

Hatch glass is where I mount mine for in car camera view during autox runs.
