Headlight plastic lenses

Hey guys, I'm sure it's a long shot but I'm wondering if anyone has access to (or knows where I could get a good deal on) just the plastic housing lens for our headlights. I wanna try something for a little project but I don't want to buy the whole headlight housing with the ballasts and all that. Anyone has anything, let me know!

Are you talking about these? You say housing and lens. These are just the lenses. Doubt you can get the projector housing by itself. Best bet is a used/damaged light or salvage yard I would think.

The link in that post doesn't seem to work anymore, but I think you just need the STi-R lens here: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/components/lenses.html

Thanks for the response Jar, but no actually I'm talking about the plastic part of the headlight that you can touch, the actual protective lenses that protects the rest of the headlight, the part that I usually restore when they go yellow and hazy. I need a new (or newish) set to play with.

Ohhh... I gotcha. Pretty sure you can't buy that separately either. Gonna need to look for a used headlight. Unfortunately, damaged headlights probably won't be an option as that part is likely to have at least some damage.

This guy has some used/damaged lights that might be perfect for what you need. Still not cheap but way better than new

GL with your project, dude :tiphat:

huck what about junk yards? theres a bunch of wrecked 370s i see on the auction websites. im sure a few dont get sold and just parted out.

Huck 08-25-2014 08:52 AM

Presto I've called around a few times to junk yards and they've never had any. Something about them being new enough still that any wrecked ones still go to the auctions for salvage parts or something like that. I'll keep looking.

Thanks Jar!

yea thats a good point. theres a ton on the one auction site i use but again all as full cars. none being parted out. they still pull decent money too.

i was looking recently thinking about getting one with a good engine and making a drag or drift car out of it lol

I don't think you fully yet understand the new expenses you've incurred. God be with you.

I've got one from a wreck that I had earlier this year. IIRC, the only damage is one of the mount points busted.

It is the driver's side.

Huck 08-25-2014 08:00 PM

Awesome. I'm hoping for a pair, but I'll definitely keep that in mind, thanks tree!

Then I can quit looking at it every time I go to my shed saying, "I wonder what I can do with that?" :)
