STRI Oil Pressure Gauge... Amber 52mm to replace your clock !

In addition to all the parts I have for sales in my part out thread (http://www.the370z.com/parts-sale-pr...tires-etc.html), I also have an unused / new oil pressure gauge that you can use in place of your clock. It should be nearly color matched to the other gauges. I bought it and then a couple months later decided to go with a different gauge that has dual oil pressure / water temp. So, if you want it, yours for tax-free $100 shipped anywhere in U.S. List is over $150. Box has been opened for inspection, but all parts are there and never used.

PS If you're wondering why you need an oil pressure gauge... these are vital for monitoring engine performance when you drive hard. Loss of oil pressure can be a precursor to total engine failure. Having a gauge can save an engine ! I know this first hand, I'm not so proudly the first person to have replaced an engine on a 370 due to a failed oil cooler line !

100 shipped? If that's the case I might be interested.

New in box with warranty?
What's the gauge diameter?
Does it include the oil pressure sending unit?

travisjb 09-30-2009 11:38 PM

52 mm... new in box, never installed... box opened to inspect contents... yes there is a long line with pressure sensor rated to 150psi and 1/8pt threading

Will do. Haven't had a chance to stop by the shop with school and whatnot.

Zeto 02-10-2010 11:06 PM

Ok it's finally installed I just need to take a pic.

travisjb 02-10-2010 11:36 PM

sweet! I STILL don't have my spa gauge installed... that's the problem with having a job and family, not enough time for car!

look fwd to the pics... how was the install?

Zeto 02-10-2010 11:42 PM

A shop on Long Island did it for me. They said it was pretty straight forward. Now time to build my oil cooler :D

m4a1mustang 02-11-2010 06:57 AM

How much the shop charge you? I want to do something similar but I'm really don't feel like ripping apart my front dash.

Zeto 03-08-2010 07:13 PM

Well that was the issue, they were gona charge $500 to just take out the dash. I was like FUK that just mount it on the dash. Let me upload the pic.

oh yeah Fk that. I'll wait till someone does a DIY and figure out if I can do it myself. If I can then ok. If not then it aint happening.

On a side note, how is the color match to the other orange LED's in the car. From the picture it looks great.

m4a1mustang 03-08-2010 08:32 PM

That's not bad. I wonder if anyone is going to come out with some "low profile" A-pillar pods.

zeto, looks pretty good considering you decided not to replace the clock... nice job

all, i believe the clock location should be accessible by completely removing the center console and temporarily pulling some of the hvac vents... you shouldn't have to pull the entire dash... i'd post pics of mine, but that's pretty much useless at this point ;)

TipsZ 03-09-2010 08:18 AM

I'd be in for Night pics. I want to see how the glow compares to the other amber lights.

Zeto 03-09-2010 08:49 AM

It matches pretty well. The guage is a little more "red" but when I take the night shots I'll let you be the judge. As for install, I went to a shop.
Travis, I was contemplating have them pull the dash any way for that price but there was no guarentee that it was going to fit depth wise.

jmlenz 03-09-2010 05:25 PM

anyone thought of installing in the circular door vent? When I go FI I plan on trying to squeeze a boost guage in that circular vent.

kdoske 03-09-2010 06:02 PM
