How are the RS-3 differ from v12's aside from thread pattern. I see this are rated W while the V12 are Y? What does this mean the W rated stickier

How are the RS-3 differ from v12's aside from thread pattern. I see this are rated W while the V12 are Y? What does this mean the W rated stickier but wear out faster?
