Wow, this is very tempting... Not sure if I would go black on blue or go blue on blue...

Indeed it is a tough choice! If you have black wheels/headlights/lip then the black handles would definitely compliment the combination.

I wish you were local, I'd have it paint matched the graphite gray that's on the '14 Nismo two tone scheme.

He did say by providing the VIN that he could look up the specific color used on your car.

Yup I can look up with VIN as well. Most tier 1 paints already have excellent color match from their database, then it is up to the mixer to mix it correctly.

If you want, you can also send me your gas door for a perfect match haha

Btw. I am now using Wanda paint which is under the same company as Sikkens paint (Akzo Nobel) and uses the same mixing database.

Yellow and red are supposedly the hardest colors to match. I'm going to swing by the dealer tomorrow to get a comparison picture on the Red A54...if it matches perfectly then you shouldn't have to worry at all about your graphite gray match.

All stock at the moment but planning to black out headlights so... black wouldbe the best choice. Also, do you know what the longevity of the paint is? Since the handles are used everyday I don't know how well it would hold up to scratches etc.

I use SPI Euro clear. Their SPI Universal clear is one of the top clears available and the only difference is that the Euro cures slightly faster and ends up with better scratch resistance. Most concerns are the UV damage since it fades the base/clear. Industry standard is two UV inhibitors but SPI uses four UV inhibitors.

IMO it would be stronger than the factory paint on the car since Nissan uses such soft paint/clear.

I was gonna buy a set and paint them...this is almost as cost effective, can you do like a satin black, I really do not want a high gloss.
