Z1 Oil Cooler Kit - Slightly Used
Hello there. I am selling my Z1 Motorsport Oil Cooler Kit. I will like to sell it as soon as possible. The kit is slightly used and I mean it, I never finish installing the kit cause I am switching to the Mishimoto Oil kit. I just didn't like how the lines were so close to the Engine Mount.
These are the only slightly used jobs done to it: - Since I was planning to finish it in one day I put oil in the cooler and there still fresh oil in it. - Since I was test fitting everything the fittings has some paint off from the tools but they were never tight. - The only thing tight to 25lbs are the fittings to the oil cooler and the fittings to the sandwich. But I lose one to check everything was still intact. - The wrapping around the hoses are a bit scratched because of shoving the lines through the holes to reach the sandwich. - The sandwich adapter of course has some sign of being tight but was never to torque specs You will get the following: The Z1 Motorsports Oil Cooler Kit features the following components standard: 1x 25 Row Oil Cooler Core (Mocal Standard; Additional sizes and Setrab available) - I purchase the Setrab 1x Z1 -10 AN SS Oil Cooler Line Set (Optional protective sleeving available pre-installed) - I purchased the protective wrap 1x Mocal Sandwich Adapter (Non-Thermostatic Standard; Optional Thermostatic model available) - I ordered the Thermostatic but Z1 sent the Non- Termostatic 1x Setrab Oil Cooler Lower Mount 1x Z1 Motorsports Oil Cooler Upper Mount 1x Z1 Motorsports 370Z Oil Cooler Install Hardware Kit 1x Z1 Motorsports 370Z Oil Cooler Installation Instructions 2x Setrab (-10 AN to 22mm Port) adapter fittings (Cooler) 2x Mocal (-10 AN to 22mm Port) adapter fittings (Sandwich adapter) 2x 13/16" Rubber Seal (Sandwich Adapter) 1x Power Steering Hose Spacer I still have all the boxes and everything so it will be well packed and shipped. I am asking $400 Shipped http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps05c7845a.jpg http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps85db62b8.jpg |
Do some reading on Mishimoto's oil cooler kit before you pull that trigger. I'll leave it at that... Fast Intentions is selling an oil cooler kit that would be a great alternative. F.I. has great customer service.

Mishimoto is garbage. Don't buy it.
Thank you. I'll check the Fast Intention in the meantime.

I know someone out there needs an oil cooler lol. I see 187 views, if anyone has a question please ask. I don't know if you need more pictures since I still have everything I haven't even use the zip tights yet (not that will change your mind) but that's how new it is.
well the kit is out of my car and back in the box for shipping.
Oil cooler still available. Any questions you are welcome to post them
Is it a thermostatic adapter? You didn't mention the mounts, hardware and instructions in your post. Would you cross check with the list on the Z1 site or your packaging list of contents and let me know if anything other than the power steering line spacer is not included? Thanks.
Hey ZillaZ sorry. I assumed that since I'm putting everything back in the box I was lazy not to list everything lol. No the sandwich is not thermostatic is the regular.
Everything that comes with the kit will be included. Also the power steering adapter. But let me fix the thread with the new information and include your suggestion. Thank you. |
Ok I updated the thread better. If you anyone need more pictures or have any question, please don't hesitate. I will like to sell it as soon as possible so I don't see it sitting on my garage.
Offer still stands. Is the whole kit I'm selling. There's got to be someone interested out there.
If I leave this oil kit in my garage the spiders are going to be end up building there own car and steal it lol
Does anyone need more pictures? I still have the kit available.
And I always though this was going to be an easy sale lol.

I emailed Z1 and Mishi about their kits way before making my decision. Z1 rep replied back to only one question. After that I emailed Jon Parham a few times I never got a reply back. Then I called and no one answered so I left message and no one called back. Send few more emails letting them know I want to do business but I find their customer service not be up to my standards and never received a response. Still because of the reviews that I saw here for the Mishimoto kit I went ahead and purchased the Z1 cool kit with the Thermostat sandwich. When I received the kit it came with then non thermal; I called them (finally got someone on the phone) and they told me the sandwich is in back order and since they don't know when it will be available they sent it without the thermal one. So then I asked an estimated day and the answer was "we don't know" so I had to request the $40 I paid extra for the thermal one and that was a challenge to get back. Emailed them like 2 weeks after, asking if they have an idea of the thermal. No Response. So I went ahead and started the process of installing the Z1 kit with the regular sandwich. That's when I ran into fitting problems where the hose ends were hitting the Engine Mount regardless of the position I twist the sandwich. So I took pictures of all the challenges fitments I went trough and asked for a solution. Never got a replied from them. Called them, left a message, waited two days and up to today I still haven't heard from them. Then I started contacting Mishimoto to get their kit. And I am going to be as honest as I am with the Z1 experience. The Mishimoto customer service so far has been awesome. I can call and get someone on the phone and I've been working with Anoy over emails. Yes I did run into leaking problems. On the Banjos and the hoses but because of their customer service they already sent me new seals, new ring and new hoses in a two week period. Yes I shouldn't run into that many problems with a kit but knowing you have a good customer support counts for me. So far the Mishimoto is installed and have no problems. I do need to install the new hoses they sent me because of the leak and of course their 19 row cooler even though it did a good job let the oil hit the 240 mark while on the track this past Saturday. But I am working with them to get a bigger cooler now. So far Mishi has been great as far as the customer service while Z1, I don't think they will get any business from me. I don't know if Mishi customer service was like that before where now it has a bad name here in the forum but now my experience is the opposite. I guess no company is perfect and they all have their good and bad reps because I have a friend that all he has is good experience with Z1. So who knows, is a strange world after all lol. |
