R2C Intakes & Mishimoto Silicone Tubes

2 Attachment(s)
This may be the ultimate intake setup for the G37 / 370Z!

These are the R2C Intakes for the 350Z HR, which are much larger than the R2C 370Z / G37 units. The 350Z HR has a little more room in the engine bay which is why R2C used these large filters; however if you're willing to make a couple of small modifications you can fit them to your G37 / 370Z, as in the photo of my G37S Coupe. All you have to do is relocate the Power Steering Reservoir a couple of inches to the left, and relocate the small fuse box on the right (shown with a tie wrap in its new location).

Benefits of this setup include:
•Massive, unrestricted filters, feeding in through beautiful smooth venturis (inside the filter unit).
•Metal shrouds which minimize heat drawn in from the engine bay
•MishiMoto Silicone intake tubes which greatly reduce heat-soak and allow for very smooth airflow
•Wonderful sounds!!!

Photos are of the actual units...

Tubes split and shipped for $50?

Sorry... not splitting. Hope you find some; these Silicone tubes really made a difference!

Just curious what sort of gains you saw with this setup, were you able to compare this setup to the as advertised 370Z setup to demonstrate it is better?

I have no physical evidence... but due to the fact that the difference between the stock intakes and any aftermarket unit is only a few horses, I think it's all a matter of personal taste in terms of sounds and sensations. I can only guess around 20 hp gains at best... depending on which information you read.

From a subjective perspective, I am convinced the engine ran noticeably smoother and stronger... and the sounds were sweet and distinctive. This intake gives our cars a sort of Ferrari sound as the revs increase. It's just my opinion....
