cooltoy 11-07-2013 10:01 AM

What do you mean by "subtle"? In sound, or looks?

Chuck33079 11-07-2013 10:19 AM

It's a great exhaust for someone with a turbo car. Glws.

DEpointfive0 11-07-2013 10:25 AM

Holy shít... 3 foot exhaust?!?!?! I didn't know Tony made it that big!!!

(GLWS, free bump)

Chuck33079 11-07-2013 10:41 AM

Yeah, that's the problem.
3' = 3 Feet
3" = 3 Inches

Free bump for ya. This is tempting, makes me want to get rid of my Greddy Turbo Ti-c. Just wondering if that extra .25" is worth it.

Not sure if serious... My comment was a joke so you'd get a free bump for a great product... For clarification, 3' is 3 feet, 3" is 3 inches.

Rid3_FaM0uS 11-07-2013 10:46 AM

Lol cos man to man the American unit measurement stardard for inches is two hashes( " ) and a foot is symbolized by a single hash ( ' ) hence the reason when you take a physical or etc at the doctor is is laid out in say 5'9" (five feet, nine inches)

cooltoy 11-07-2013 10:49 AM

Thats why metric is so much better.

COSMO 11-07-2013 10:50 AM

ok ok its a 3 foot exhaust custom made by Tony to accommodate the biggest turbos!!!! Screw an elephant with it for all I care... lol

Sound of course..

Onelownismo 11-07-2013 11:01 AM

I wasn't even aware they made 3" exhausts. Is this custom ordered?

FI will make them for you if you've got a turbo. It's kind of an "off-menu" item. I know they've made ten or fifteen of them. It's a fantastic exhaust.

Isn't that because it's non-resonated? Or are resonators not a choice when you buy a 3" exhaust?

COSMO 11-07-2013 11:11 AM

Actually Tony from FI can have those put in, even a 100 cell CAT will work as well. As much as I like the exhaust I just couldn't justify outing putting even more money in it..

Glokwork 11-07-2013 11:12 AM

If you are willing to split it up, I need just the two muffler sections.

COSMO 11-07-2013 11:16 AM

Sorry I cant help you there... :tiphat:

There was one in the Fast Intentions thread that introduced the exhaust, if memory serves me right.

I have this exhaust with the 100 Cell Cats on my car and absolutely love it. Someone is going to make out when they pick this up without the production lead time. GLWS!

Good luck with the sale............

I have a ridiculous question though. How do you get a more "subtle" exhaust if you have an aftermarket twin turbo set-up? There are not many out there that quieter and subtle at the same time.

FuszNissan 11-07-2013 09:22 PM

If you do a 2.5" it will quite it down, plus if you add cats or a resonator

The catted 3" FI is pretty unobtrusive until you put your foot in it.

COSMO 11-08-2013 06:40 AM

I had my stillen exhaust modified to a true duel 2.5" exhaust with the resonators welded back in. Now it sounds like a Porsche 996. The way I see it the 3" is kind of overkill since I wont be pushing past 550whp but to each his own.

Unless you're putting turbos on you don't need a 3" exhaust.

espimax 11-11-2013 05:19 AM

So I guess my greaddy tic catback will do just fine with the stillen Supercharger?
