I wish I was ready to ruin my warranty, I can't wait to cam my car! Someone get these and post up about power, install, and a sound clip!

GarageLine.com 10-23-2013 12:28 PM

My guess installation would be similar to R&R of a engine. Unfortunately, we have sold our shop car so we didn't have these installed.

Here is a video of them on first start

Power gains with these? I only just see some dude who got them but no install or dyno charts. Well other than on the JUN website...

GarageLine.com 10-23-2013 04:02 PM

No one knows for sure the power gains.

Vnismo370z 10-24-2013 10:59 AM

Welp, looking around and these are at an awesome price, especially for BNIB.
GLWS!!!!

brucelidat 10-24-2013 11:44 AM

That second video supposedly says 382whp NA. Wonder what all the mods are if that number is true or anything close to true.

It at least includes their pistons.

I just emailed Jon at Z1 about these things. If I get a positive response I may take these off your hands. Hopefully he emails soon, I've been waiting all week for him to get back to me about my short block build.

derraj06 10-25-2013 07:34 PM

Interested in these as well. Gonna do some reading on them to see what they can do for my car as is.

Z eliminator 10-26-2013 04:56 AM

I think we're all waiting for the final results from Navyboy's build once he gets his tune ironed out.

GarageLine.com 11-15-2013 10:01 AM

I would if I still had the car.

GarageLine.com 11-27-2013 10:33 AM

Up for the holiday!

SPOHN 11-27-2013 11:13 AM

Whst does it take to install these? Such as other parts ( valves, springs) or is it a straight drop in?

These are drop in exhaust cams.

Chuck33079 11-27-2013 01:48 PM

I was under the impression from navy boy's build that there were several expensive VVEL parts you couldn't reuse once you opened the heads up.

JUN the manufacturer of these cams say they are 100% drop in.

The only guy here who has installed them found out otherwise.

I am reading a lot of these post about hp and tq numbers. Everyone has their own ideas about what is going to make power. For the cams I must say that you can't just buy the cams and swap them in. They are actually to aggressive for the stock valve train. So if you plan on swapping the cams be prepared to spend some coin on pulling the heads off and swapping the valve train. It's even more expensive for our cars cause the intake girdle has to come off in order to reach the complete head, both dc accucators, all three timing chains and timing gears. This swap is taking awhile for me and as other perform this swap more efficient ways will be performed on the motors. So if you think u can just swap these cams in you better rethink your plan.

Vnismo370z 11-27-2013 08:30 PM

Wouldn't VVEL freak-out if you messed with the heads that extensively?
Not trying to thread jack just trying to understand..
