Just for the sake of others, I think those are definitely the Gen 2's. There is only one Gen 3 intake and it's the ultra long tube cold air intake kit. It also seems like the filters are Spectre instead of the standard K&N Stillen uses. If these are the Gen 2's, it's also missing the boxes. The upper intake tube sections are the same for both the Gen 2 & 3 I believe. The only difference is that the Gen 3 locates the filters in the bumper and subsequently creates longer intake tubes.

OP, not trying to derail anything here. Just looking out for potential buyers thinking they're buying the Gen 3 version.

I agree. They look like Gen 3's with filters replaced where the bottom tubes attach...

They are not G3's I have them they a lot longer than the ones shown here

I stand behind my statement. Sticker on them says Gen 3. They are just missing the long tubes..

Sorry, I dont want to say your wrong, but before the Gen 3 LONG TUBE came out they had the short rams. When the long tube came out they reduced the short rams and no longer called them the gen 3. To prove that, I will provide the original box and receipt when I bought it from fontana nissan of Fontana. :) Thanks though.

You got shafted, it's not good to have the MAFs that close to the filters.
I'll put money on it that you only got the top section of the piping.


The Gen 2's didn't look like that either, and that was their short ram

Lastly, the Gen 3 Ultra Longs have been out since AT LEAST June 23, 2009 based on this review:

Like Andrew mentioned, It looks like you are missing the extended tubes to your actual Gen 3 setup.

Yep, and the Gen 2's came with different filters as Trips mentioned. You DO have the Gen 3 filters

Notice the black trim on the filters rather than the silver on OP's post.

You're right. I didn't see the stickers. That would have been my second guess. Both the Gen 2 and Gen 3 came out a few years ago and this is the first time I've heard short rams referred to as the Gen 3 version. The red flag is the filters. Those are the shyty Spectre filters you see at AutoZone. Not saying the OP is lying or anything, but this just doesn't add up.

...then again, I could be wrong.
