Did you use Nissan ester oil on your vehicle before? When I went to do my oil change at my Nissan dealership. The tech. told me once I use the ester oil. Its not a good idea to use anything else that is not ester base.

Nissan techs have troubling remembering their own names. You can use a different oil...don't listen to him.

The vast majority of these oils can be changed or intermixed. Ester based or not doesn't change that.

That's weird because the Nissan salesman told me after I bought my car from them that it's not a good idea to buy any other brand except Nissan.

^^ yeah thats so weird, I'd trust that tech and never buy anything outside of Nissan, even the brakes, air filters, clutches, windshield washer fluid, etc etc.

they're in it for the money.
