I bought the Replica LIP from Nextmod for $300 shipped, but the finish is terrible! There were imperfections (cracks) that were covered by black primer. :mad:
Then I bought Plactic Metal (Spot Bondo 901), Sandpapers, 4 cans of primer and 2 cans of base paint and it is still not finished. The moral lesson is: Cheap doesn't come Cheap! :shakes head: Should have listened to the lil' voice in my head... dont buy rep stuffs! I strongly suggest getting the authentic Carbon Fiber Lip :tup: |
Interesting. Haven't heard anything but good things out of Nextmod. Many members are running their rep here without reporting issues. Perhaps you were unlucky and got one they made late on a Friday after starting drinking already.
Good luck Ni55anPat. You may have to just order it straight from Japan. BeemaaZ shouldn't feel too bad. The real deal cf version requires prep work, sanding, adding clear coat to protect the cf from UV etc. That's after spending much more than the rep. |
