Berk Cat Back Exhaust

Yeah both exhausts sound great. I think the main reason why I went with the berk is because I already have their hfc's.

Not yet. I wanted to see what the system was like first. I have only driven the car a couple of times since the install as the weather here in Chicago has been crap.

I am leaning towards the Berk HFC's. I read they will add an additional 18hp at the wheel with some additional torque.

I will more than likely purchase them within the next few weeks.

Tiger you live in Chicago? Same here. Ive got to hear how that that Berk CBE sounds. I will be installing Berk HFCs to my Nismo exhaust in a few weeks. Maybe we can meet and hear how each others cars sound?

Yeah those are great gains. If your doing the hfc install yourself get prepared for the demon bolts. It took me awile to get those off. Any idea how loud the berk is now compared to like a flowmaster on a gt mustang? Ive never heard the berk in person let alone any exhaust on the 370. Im just trying to get an idea of how loud it will be.

Yeah. The GoPro doesn't have the best mic, plus it was in the waterproof case which distorts it more.

Gotcha, I noticed that when I went snowboarding with the go-pro. The sound was pretty bad especially in the waterproof case like you said. But its a great video camera otherwise.

Check out YouTube for sound videos on the Berk. There are many with a few really good ones. YouTube in addition to this forum were the resources I used when looking for my new exhaust. I had narrowed it down to three. FI, Berk and Tanabe. In order to take full advantage of the Tanabe, you had to purchase their Y pipe which took the cost to $1700 - $2000g's depending on who/where purchased. For me, it was more than I was willing to spend for an Exhaust. The FI's are awesome, but long wait times, up to 3 months wait. Decided on the Berk and I am extremely satisfied. A truly great Exhaust.

Never really herd the flowmaster on gt mustang, so can't comment. Again, I would search on YouTube. It's not like being there in person, however you get a general idea of the sounds the various exhausts make.

From what I have been able to gather, the Berk HFC's make the tone of the exhaust even deeper, not to mention the increased gains due to non restrictive CATS.

Check out the Chicago Area Cars & Coffee thread. Chicago Area Cars & Coffee. The first meet is set for Saturday April 6, 2013. All the information is on the first page of the thread.

This will be my first meet. Come out and join us. It would be nice to meet other fellow Z owners.

Lets just hope the weather cooperates so we can do some driving.

As far as loudness goes, they are louder than stock, but are not that loud to annoy any neighbors. I too was fearful the Berk would be too loud as I live in a very quiet neighborhood.

The Berk is deeper and more throaty. No rasp and no drone. At highway speeds it just purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs. At low RPM's it purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs. Step on it and go to WOT and this thing ROARS..........Awesome.

Even though I have 7AT, I use the Paddles alot!! When you downshift, the sound it makes then too is intoxicating......Awesome. If you have a M6, you will absolutely love it.

I hope you either find one used soon or a big bag of cash on the highway so you can order new. Either way, it will bring a smile to your face every time!
