Sports Package brakes (front+back)

Surely someone has upgraded their brakes, and has the old ones laying around wait to be sold to me. I have a base model, looking for everything (or almost everything) that will make the sport package breaks work on my car. Rotors, calipers, what ever else:ugh2: you name it. Just hit me up

Thanks!

Damn I have a completely full set of just Base breaks here. Calipers, lines, rotors, pads, the whole package lol. Good luck with the search OP

I will look into local first as it will save me the hassle of packing them nicely and shipping them.

but here are the details in case anyone wants to know what I have

1. Complete sport package brake set (without OEM rotor) 50,000 km
2. Stoptech 1 piece slotted rotors. F/R 5,000 km
3. Project Mu club racer pads F/R 5,000 km
4. Goodrigde stainless brakelines. 2,000 km

As per the price range, please do send me a PM and I will make a list of people who PMed me first regarding the brakes, or if OP allows me, I will post it on here.

Post on here. It's fine. I want you to be able to get the best price for them. If someone sees the price and can offer more, more power to them!

The oem calipers are like less than 250 from nissan. Than Z1 has the rotor and brake pad upgrades for the sport calipers for like 500. Might go this route... But what else do i need to make it work on a base? Calipers rotors pads what else?

Saltee 03-04-2013 10:52 PM

converting KM to miles? aint nobody got time fo that. lol... how many miles is that?

asdfsammich 03-05-2013 02:11 AM

He's from Canada so up to US to convert lols.

Google does it. Just type "'x' km in miles" into the search box. Actually with that format google does tons of conversions straight out the search box.

Are you sure they're not $250 ea? I doubt the calipers by themselves would be around $80 per pop!

AlexRaymond19 03-05-2013 04:52 AM

They are 250 each

Calipers are $250 each. Then you need the shims for each caliper PLUS you need new brake lines since Akebono and Base brakes use different lines. At that point you might as well upgrade to SS lines. Buying the full kit from Z1 will make your life much more simple and probably cost about the same with some options compared to trying to piece everything together. If you can find someone selling the calipers, shims, rotors, and lines for under $1300 its a great price or you can spend about $2k to get slotted/cross-drilled rotors, pads of choice, SS lines, brand new calipers and your choice of brake fluid. Spend $1300 on the stock akebono's with everything but you wanna upgrade the rotors, add $400. Upgrade brake lines to SS, add $125. Better pads, add $125. Use Motul RBF600 fluid, add $40. It adds up to about the same except taking more time to gather it all plus none of that includes shipping.
