Default TRADE: Akebono Sports Brake Gray for Red + Cash

Anyone willing to trade their 40th Anniversary or 2013 Red Akebono Sports Brake Calipers (Front & Rear) for my Gray one + Cash?

I've been thinking of powdercoating mine to Red, but I track my car and seen people's Powdercoat melt or got soft. So I prefer to trade instead.

Plus I want the OEM finish with the Decal underneath the clear coat.

... If it's going to melt powder coating, the coating isn't your main concern, LOL

Normal powder will take... 500~degrees

You can use Cerakote, it comes in "Stop Light Red" and it should withstand temps above 800 degrees

Mike the powdercoater has a great track record on this forum, just a thought for you.

I'm thinking about getting mine done eventually, and he seems like the man to go to.

Mike is actually the one that warned me that his powder coating isn't for track. His powercoat got really soft and even melted under heavy tracking.

That's what I'm hoping to do...unfortunately places here charge an arm and a leg to paint the rotors....i'm looking at easily $500+ for hi temp paint. Sucks....It's almost the price of some sport Calipers used.

Do it yourself!
Any auto store sells high temp caliper paint, do some red, place an eBay decal, then spray clear over it. And done!

I'll try thanks! I've done it before on my civic and a pretty shitty job. I got the brush on ones. I'm just afraid I'll do worst job than before. Also, don't I need to sand blast it prior? Possibly some sanding too right?

Let me know if you come across a good DIY.

Sand blasting would be "best" use some brake cleaner/paint thinner, then a mild sanding depending on how smooth you want the finish to be, then you're gold (I did this to some RX7 brake rotors.)
USE THE SPRAY! Lol
You'll get a REALLY OEM, cleaner look with the spray
