the ring basically helps keep the wheel on straight and fill the gap between the wheel and rotor i think but im not sure. i bet if you search for it you'll find it. but you can get the rings for a pretty good price. probably, around 10-20 bucks

It's technically only "needed" for the OEM wheels

OEM wheels are centered by the ring (hub centric)
99.999% of aftermarket wheels are lug centric


BTW, you can buy the rings for like $20 from Weapon-R
