*Feeler* WTT SPORT PW hatch for NON-SPORT
Hey Everyone,
This isn't something that I'm ready to do immediately but it's something I'm considering within the next couple months or so and I would like to gauge availability and interest. I have a 2013 base + sport PW Z with the stock OEM spoiler. I'm looking for a direct swap in the LA area for someone with a base model Z and unmodified hatch (Must also be PW or kind of defeats the purpose :icon17:). I'm doing this simply because I like the clean look of the hatch without a spoiler and also if I track as often as I'm hoping to I'll eventually move on to a GT wing and don't want to go through the hassle of filling in the stock holes. I figure it would be a good opportunity for someone to get a free spoiler already attached. So what do you say guys? Anyone interested in trading? I'll PM you when I'm ready to do it. Thanks for reading! |
Meet me halfway? :icon17:
Good luck, I'd take you up on it if you were closer. |
Lol, I might have to if noone replies to this thread. :(

Too bad I live on an island lol. I was actually thinking about going with the sport spoiler with the MINEs add-on. Either way GL!

I had to go through this debate in Nov myself for my wing install. I was hoping it would be easier to find a base model hatch to trade than just have mine patched.
After 2 months of no response, I said screw it and just had them remove the stock spoiler. The benefit to this is my hatch has the same VIN as the rest of the car, which if you traded, yours wouldn't. If that doesn't matter then no biggie, but if something happened, it might make the insurance people squirrely, which I didn't want to have happen. I will say that having the stock sport spoiler removed is a bit of a hassle as it has 11 mounting points that would need to be patched. Didn't expect that, neither did the body shop. :icon17: Just some things to think about... Hope you find someone willing to trade with you, so :bump: and GLWT. :tiphat: |
11 MOUNTING POINTS!? It's worse than I thought! lol
Hmm, that Vin# was something I hadn't considered. How much did it cost you to patch it and get the paint body matched? |

http://www.the370z.com/attachment.ph...1&d=1357523185 For that: Body Labor: 25 Hours $1250 Paint Labor: 4 Hours $200 Paint Supplies: 4 Hours $120 Rough Total: $1570~ Those were the totals after I took out the wing install, and the door handles I had also painted to match body. If you want the FULL total for everything it was right at $2k. |
z0mg I can do without a bloody vin number on my hatch. Someone trade with me!
|
:eek:oh dear Lord $2k!? Somebody swap this hood with this guy!

Granted, the paint matching is excellent, and the wing came out GREAT. The door handles look like they should from the factory. But yeah /wallet :icon14: |
