ok so say someone buys this off of you for your asking price, what is left to pay when you go to a tuning shop to get your car tuned?

So in essence, you're saving $100.

Osiris Tuner License |

This would be a lot easier to sell if you bought a cipher cable, reflashed back to stock yourself, and sold it as Osiris standard...

However, still for sale! BUMP :) |
You can buy the UpRev cable. and store it!

Think its the basic license, which are $500 normally. Upgrade to tuner is 200
|
There is no difference between any of the Osiris licenses. They are all identical, whether you get flashed at a shop, buy Osiris standard, or buy Osiris tuner. The Osiris license costs $300.
The difference between the standard and tuner is in the cable... standard just lets you perform diagnositc functions with cipher, and reflash the ecu. Tuner gives you access to the rom editor and all the tuning functions as well. |

This would go pretty quick if the OP picked up a tuner version cable with no license on it, reflash back to stock, then post it up for sale as a Osiris tuner kit for $600. Hard to sell just a reflash license locally unless you know how to tune, and the shop won't be much help since they already made their money off it

So if I'm paying 200 for the liscense how much is the device itself? I thought that when someone purchases the uprev device it comes ready to tune the car.....I'm lost. I haven't used it but will eventually as I'm ordering parts for my 370..

So he's just selling the license which is retail $300 Then there's the Standard which is retail $500 Then there's the Tuner which is retail $700 I have no tuning experience but I'd like to learn how to tune some day as I intend to keep this car for long. Which one do you think I should get? Should I just get the Basic license and take it to the shop? Will i still get the 5 maps with the basic? If I get the Tuner version, can I still take it to the shop to have them tune it with 5 maps? My understanding between all these versions is that Basic comes with nothing, Standard is a basic with a Cipher cable, and Tuner version is a basic but with a tuner cable with a software, can someone confirm with me and suggest what I should do for now? |

Both standard and tuner give you access to cipher so you can datalog, check and clear codes, and other OBD2 diagnostic functions, as well as reflash back to stock and sell it used later on if you want. Only tuner lets you play with the tune yourself. No matter which option you go with you can always go to a shop and get dyno tuned without having to purchase a new Osiris license, if you've already been reflashed you will only pay for the cost of the dyno time, not the full amount |
