Custom 3" single HKS exhaust

Just wondering if there is any interest in my custom made 3" exhaust?

It doesn't use any gaskets, so no worries of exhaust leaks. It utilizes all v-bands (not included), 3" stainless steel piping, Magnaflow 18" resonator, and HKS Hi-Power Ti muffler. This was fitted to my single turbo, so you would need an exhaust shop to fab a y-pipe ($50-100) for you.

With parts and labor, this exhaust cost me just under $1000. Shipping alone will cost me $75-100.

Price: SOLD to dirTy_shoeZ for $300 shipped

Example of how it will sound (video of Mino's car):

 with a 3" inlet, that's the only size the muffler came in. It looked awesome on my car and still looks awesome sitting in my garage.

The potential buyer hasn't sent payment yet, so here's a friendly reminder that this exhaust is still available.

I'll post a couple when I get home. Sadly, I never had time to make a sound clip. The exhaust was too raspy for me, so I never recorded a revup video. The day I added the resonator...is the day I went to the drag strip, ran a 11.85 @ 119mph, and on the very next pass the motor starting ticking.

I have 2 videos I'll post, but 1 may not make it on here :ugh2: One is of me at the drag strip where I ran the 11.85 and the other video is me testing out the Z against a few other cars.

Not at all. This is a 3" single, compared to a true dual 2.5" exhaust that most companies utilize.

Is there not enough clearance that's why you have a corve there by the muffler?

It's to clear the suspension...use this HKS picture for reference.

I didn't think it was that loud, but I like loud. My single turbo acted as a muffler, so it was quieter than it would be on an NA application. If you lookup the 3" single exhausts on 350Zs, I think they sound great! Nice and deep...not as high pitched as some of the 2.5" exhausts out there.

98intrigue 10-24-2012 09:18 AM

This is still for sale...and gave me a nice bruise when I backed into it by accident last night as I was claybarring my daily.

98intrigue 03-12-2013 05:43 PM

Bumpers. Someone please buy this. I'm tired of looking at it. I will take the best offer :)

BLUESLATE 03-13-2013 04:50 AM

It's certainly not bad to look at everyday, especially considering how nice the welds are!

I'd just rather put the money towards an '08-10 hood, rather than stare at this everyday. I found a freshly painted black hood for $1400 plus shipping and I REALLY want it!

98intrigue 03-21-2013 04:25 PM

$400 shipped... Have an amazing sounding 3" single exhaust that weighs a LOT less than factory, makes more power, looks amazing with the HKS titanium muffler, alll for the price of what a cold air intake would cost.

Vnismo370z 03-21-2013 05:15 PM

How could one install it? all I see are clamps. Would I have to get a custom Y-Pipe too? I am still NA btw...

The exhaust hangers are in the factory locations, so you'll have no problem hanging the exhaust. The piping is connected using v-band clamps, which nearly elimate any chance of exhaust leaks (much better than standard exhaust gaskets and 3 or 4-bolt flanges). You would need an exhaust shop to fabricate a y-pipe for you to fit this exhaust to your catalytic converters, which should range from $75-150. Being NA is no problem with a 3" exhaust. It will sound deeper than most 2.5" exhausts.

98intrigue 03-25-2013 06:23 PM

I want this out of my garage...someone offer me something! :)

Have had some inquiries recently, but no moneys yet.

98intrigue 04-13-2013 02:25 PM

$400 shipped for an exhaust that will cost you at least twice as much to build yourself.

Vnismo370z 04-13-2013 04:13 PM

I didn't see anything in regards to it being y-pie, cat-back or mid pipe back type exhaust...

Infiniti370z 04-13-2013 06:48 PM

Because it's a custom turbo back so it will require a professional exhaust shop to make it connect to your y-pipe or cats depending on your choice but still a beautifull exhaust.

That's the good thing about this exhaust...you can make what you want of it. You can have it fitted to your stock y-pipe or stock cats.

Thank you for the response! I see we both have good taste and enjoyed a very similar exhaust. Singles on a VQ sound so sexy.

98intrigue 04-16-2013 07:40 AM

My motor should be complete this week...I'd like to ship this thing out to make room in my garage before next week.

98intrigue 04-21-2013 11:18 AM
