Hebi Bebi - Tommy Kaira Shift Knob

1 Attachment(s)
Up for sale is a Tommy Kaira Heavy Baby (Hebi Bebi) shift knob. The "unicorn" of shift knobs, so to speak.

Very mint, no scratches, knicks, etc.

firm price of $235 shipped, or $200 picked up in-person in downtown SF. I know parking is not cheap in these parts, so discount for in-person transaction.

I can provide additional pictures upon request, and will post up one picture of the shift knob right now (apologies, it was actually a picture of my super-high-tech security system i cobbled together for the alpine.)

meantime, here are some other pictures if you want a better idea:

please tell me you some how managed to get the stock head unit face to pop in over your aftermarket one. that would be an amazing theft deterrent! lol

that is exactly what i did. pretty funny, right?

once i took out the stock HU, i used a screwdriver to remove the faceplate. then i used superglue to glue down a few of the buttons that would otherwise fall out (eject button, power button, etc.).

i was thinking i'd have to create some kind of hanger for the faceplate, but i was happily surprised to find out the faceplate was deep enough (and the alpine 910 was installed far back enough) such that the faceplate hung off the alpine and stayed on its own. it was a great fit.

some of the alpine 900/910 installs in z's on this forum are improperly installed and stick out quite a bit. those will need to be installed further back into the dash for this to work.

in terms of effectiveness, it's not going to fool anyone who's inside the car, but from the outside of the car, looking through the window at night, it's pretty damn good.

I don't know how you SF guys do it... I love SF (go there frequently) but living with those steep hills and parking on the side of the road would give me a heart attack! GLWS though, that is an awesome shift knob!

yeah, it can be a tough time, especially with the z transmission. in fact, that's part of the reason i decided to move from z to s2000. while i'm in the city, might as well drive a less costly car, smaller, much easier transmission, less worries, less stress.. but i miss the z!
