I want a muffler that's compatible with stock midpipe. Just lost a nismo s-tune muffler on ebay to a guy with a seemingly unreachable reserve. I'm open to almost anything.

You might look into AAM Shortys or the spacer mod if you're on a tight budget but still want to sound nice.

and the spacer mod is just 4 or 5 spacers between your muffler and your mid pipe basically creating a leak that actually sounds pretty good.

Haha create a good sounding leak...that's awesome. Anyone have it so I can see/hear it? I hear that muffler deletes are unbearably loud. Youtube videos are not good enough indicators. If I take off my muffler and listen to it, would it be a good enough indicator of what the Shortys will sound like?

And yeah if you take it off it will sound very similar but be very loud inside because the exhaust will be pointing up towards your undercarriage

I honestly don't know, I know there probably aren't any gains from spacers for sure. A plus for the muffler deleted is it shaves off ALOT of weight. The stock muffler is effin heavy.
