i believe that you will find that the teflon part of this hose is the inner hose liner underneath the stainless braiding. the coating probably is not teflon, as brake line coatings are usually somewhat soft and pliable unlike teflon. which is actually better, because this hose isnt teflon coated, it IS teflon.
