Marketplaces change, evolve. If you sell at one point, you may get more/less than had you sold at another time. I don't see how your post is helpful to the seller here, who faces possibly different market conditions than your buddy. Maybe your buddy lucked into a sale where someone was desperate to move. Any way you look at it, the OP posts his price. We're not supposed to comment on it.

I was offering potentially helpful advice on his sale. It's been bumped a billion times and I figured I'd offer some helpful knowledge pertaining to the subject. My apologies if anyone doesn't like what I've said.

You could have sent a private message. Throwing it up in the thread will turn any potential buyer away that could have been comfortable with that asking price.
