SCCA stock class only allows you to replace your front sway bar.

They figure that you can't get much of an advantage replacing just the front sway as the bigger you make it the more understeer you get.

no, no....SHE does not like MAD understeer

but yes, yes...it's for autox stock class reasons. believe me, i want the rear too. I'm countering the understeer a little with the race tires. we'll see how it turns out. might end up taking it out, who knows.

Not quite.

When you install a stiffer front sway onto a car like the 370Z, which has a torsen diff and not enough front camber, you accomplish two things:

1) The car leans less, so you get MORE grip from the front tires because the camber doesn't go positive as the car rolls over onto the rocker panels due to the added grip of race tires.

2) The stiffer bar transfers weight to the opposite rear tire (the inside one) when cornering. This prevents the inside tire from turning to smoke coming out of corners.

This is not quite true...this SCCA rule came about many years ago when older cars were running in stock class and many of them tended to wear out the front sway bar bushings and end links. Factory parts were no longer available and the SCCA didn't want to destroy the class, so they allowed aftermarket parts. This is how front sway bars became free in stock class.

Capiche?

Good explanations, thanks

If it turns out to be too stiff, you might want to try the stillen bars which are only about 30% stiffer than stock in the front if memory serves
