Custom Fuel/Temp Gauge Face
ITEM SOLD
From Black Cat Custom, this gauge face has a 3M adhesive backing that adheres to the OEM gauge face. It will enable you to convert the amber on silver gauge face to a white on black style. To complete the modification, the gauge face needs to be removed, masked, and stripped of paint using paint thinner before applying the custom gauge face. Use black paint to complete the conversion. Optionally, you can change the LED backlight color for a total conversion (reference DIY: Interior LED Color Change). DIY: DIY: Interior LED Color Change DIY Pictures: Installed Pictures:

Digi you just need to hurry up and mod my console LEDs
This seems like it's a little bit more labor intensive to completely deface the gauge, then apply this... Is it possible to directly apply as stated above...?? for seller!

Technically you can, but there are no guarantees to how well the labels will light up at night. Otherwise, you can simply slap on this gauge face. In theory, you can use some cotton swabs and paint thinner to strip the paint off without taking it apart. You guys can also try to mask off everything and spray paint the gauge face directly before applying the custom gauge face. It might get messy if you're not careful, but it beats taking stuff apart.
Please note that I will not keep the money from selling the spare (small token of appreciation to the shop owner). Buyer sends $20 to Black Cat Custom, and I will mail out this gauge face. In the event you missed this sale, simply contact Alex at Black Cat Custom.

Sale pending...
Not that I'm trying to advertise here or anything about Black Cat Custom, but I'm hoping to see more owners attempt this mod. My car was down for about a day while the gauge cluster was off the car to do the entire mod (LEDs, etc.). It took about 30-45 min. to disassemble down to the bone. If it's just the fuel/temp gauge, all you need to do is take off the back cover to get to the 4 screws holding the display, pull the display and backlight cable, and pry the edges to pop off the gauge face. Afterwards, reassemble everything without the gauge face and re-install the gauge cluster. It should take about an hour to do. Then you can mod the gauge face and pop it back in without taking it apart. If you guys have more questions about this mod, I can simplify the DIY thread to focus on just the fuel/temp display to make it less scary.
