what are the gains on this?

Don't know, never dynoed. However, the factory Y pipe is the most restrictive part of the exhaust, so should be pretty decent for the money.

Does this mate up to the stock exhaust? Doesn't remove any of the cats, right?

Yes, fitment is perfect. No need to remove the cats.
