WTT: My Base Diff + Cash for Your Sport Diff
Like the title says, I'm looking to trade my open differential pumpkin from my base model Z plus cash for your VLSD equipped differential pupkin from your Sport package Z. The differential pumpkins are completely interchangeable.
Why would you do this? I'm looking for someone who is planning on installing a Quaife or OS Giken LSD (baller status). The Quaife and OSG LSD's are actually cheaper and an easier swap for base model pumpkins than VLSD pumpkins, so you'll save money there; PLUS the cash I'll throw on top. Other aftermarket LSD's might be similar, I am not sure. Even better, I can ship my pumpkin first which will cut down on your car's downtime! If interested, PM me and we can work out a price and the details. C'mon, friends don't let friends drive Z's without LSD! Thanks for reading! John Last edited by aadosx; 04-27-2011 at 06:41 PM. |

Good luck... What I did was sourced a VLSD pumpkin , got it, than sold my open diff over on the 350 forums because my open diff from the 6 speed has more aggressive geering than the open diff 350z guys... so it is desirable over there and I actualy sold it rather quickly.

Well, yes, in a way. One of the stubs is longer but the length difference is inside the pumpkin. Because of that, if you're taking an actual sport differential (the inside unit.. not the pumpkin) and installing it into a base pumpkin with base axle stubs, you would have to replace one of the base stubs with a sport stub. But the protruding lengths of both stubs is the same outside of the pumpkin (for installation purposes). A sport pumpkin will bolt directly into a non-sport car and vise-versa. =)
