FT+ Cash: PC Black OEM Nismo wheels(w/removable blue vinyl lip) for OEM Stock Rays

Hi everyone!

I have a set of Nismo wheels, powder coated professionally 60% Black (not too glossy, not too flat), with a monterey blue vinyl pin stripe. The pin stripe is removable (it's just vinyl). Rims are pretty much perfect. When they were powder coated, any blemishes were removed.

There is one little knick under the vinyl on one front wheel from installation (on the edge, but no curbage on any). Looks great on a monterey blue Z! The tires are the stock yoko's and have literally 85-90% tread left. They are almost new. TPMS is included.

I need a set of 09 Rays Sport wheels with the trade. They can't have ANY rash or knicks or anything. I am trying to sell my car and need to return it to stock. I need 09 Rays because the TPMS sensors on the 10's are different. I also want the tire treads to be relatively new, aka matching mine as stated above.

I did a lot of research on here and I think $1100 with trade is fair considering I dumped a lot of money into these wheels and in the long run it will save the buyer cost and headache involved with powder coating wheels (dismounting, balancing, coating, re-balancing/mounting)

The wheels look really, really nice and the pics don't do them justice.

This is simply a wheel/tire/TPMS bolt off and switch deal with the cash. You will also receive my satin black Nissan center caps.

on to pics!

(They're kind of dirty, by the way. They have a nice sheen when they're clean, trust me!)

1,100 cash plus sprt wheels for your nismo wheels??

Jjaden 11-09-2010 07:09 AM

No offense but a pair for $1700 just sold on here within the last 3 days.
So asking $1100 + Sport wheels might be steep.

Having said that you never know how bad someone wants Nismo wheels, particularly if they have a set of sport 19's they want to part with.

GLWS.

i get you. I mean the powder coating cost $550 as it is, and they have 0 blemishes and the tires are straight new... I dumped a lot of money in these bad boys to get them done right! If they don't sell before the car does, then they're going with it.

If only you hadn't had these powdercoated black. I may be interested, but definitely not at your current price, considering I'd have to spend money to powdercoat these back to the original silver and get replacement center caps. The powdercoating is only worth something if someone really wants them like that. Otherwise, it actually detracts from their value.

Where are you getting your info about the TPMS? My car is a '10, but the wheels are absolutely flawless and the tires have 260 miles on them.

there's a service bulletin about it. if it really boils down to it, I might just say f-it and tell the buyer the TPMS don't work... so just check your tire pressure.

Powder coating in this area for a good job is about $400-$550. I used AsCo in Manassas, and they do stellar work.

See to each their own because if I got a set of NISMO rims the very first thing I was planning on doing was taking them to the powdercoater and having them done black, so it would have saved me cash.

Too bad I made a move on some wheels a couple days ago...

haha damn!

yeah, most people on here do a 20%-60% black finish on their nismos. I think they look really nice! they set off the bright colored Z's and look sick on black ones!

I know someone will want them.

Jjaden 11-09-2010 09:39 AM

Yup, exactly.

I'm not good to you anyways tho because my Sport Rays are powdercoated Satin black , so I would have been no good for the trade.

I'd love to do this but I sold my Rays :\ would've been perfect.

Yeah, I mostly just wanted to express my interest so that you know I'm there, especially considering that I'm local. If you totally strike out, perhaps we can work something out.

By the way, the TSB you mention has nothing to do with there being different TPMS for an '09 and a '10.

http://www.the370z.com/370z-technica...-flashing.html

Tire Rack also lists the same sensors for both years. You may be confusing this with the fact that the sensors need to be reset if you want to use them on a different car.

I'm still confused.. lol

I was referring to this bulletin:

http://www.the370z.com/370z-technica...hangeable.html

I don't know if it's talking about the actual Roadster/Coupe, or the 10's and 09's

Jessobear 11-09-2010 12:23 PM

Good to know, thanks. My VIN ends in 505846, so I'd definitely have the newer stuff.

no prob. AK made a point though; no one has actually tried it so we don't really know if it really won't work or not.

bump!
