Sorry about that. I honestly just assume that if people like those ALCOA wheels they went no further than nissans website for aftermarket wheels which i would believe to be a mistake. I'm sure you have made an informed decision based styles you've seen and thats the style you have decided you like the most. I'm sorry for assuming otherwise.

I think part of the appeal of these wheels is how shiny they are. However, i think that they'd look better powdercoated b/c out of the box i think they'er a bit gaudy for the Z in their shiny state, but then i feel like powdercoating wheels that are that shiny is a waste of their shinyness. Its a vicious cycle. What color woudl you be powedercoating them? I think a gunmetal would look nice on your car.

No biggy... I know I came out sounding harsh and I wracked my brain a bit on how to rephrase it so it would not be so but that was the best I could do. I'm glad you didn't take it the wrong way =)

Yes, you are right in saying I have done my research which I do for anything I put into my car and thank God for these forums for making it easier for me. I do agree that they're pretty gaudy in their original finish which is why I don't want my car seen with them on until after they have been powdercoated. I'm thinking matte black or as you suggested, gun metal... something dark to contrast the pearl white of my car.

Jeffblue 09-20-2010 06:08 PM

yea its all good. yea i think definitely something dark. only reason i'd say not to go matte black is b/c you tend to lose the wheel in the tire. but if you really want something to be black, theres really only one shade to go with :)

not trying to hate on your decision but Why??..lol..Alcoa's are heavier and 1/2 inch thinner..plus the Nismo Rims look better!..im seriously confused..

I work in foreclosures. Market value is not determined by how much you need for the items you wish to buy, it is determined by what the market will bear. I see a lot of houses in foreclosure that also happen to be listed, at debt amount, even though debt is $200k above market. What someone wants for something and what it is worth are frequently not the same.
