GZ3 08-25-2010 02:14 PM

hmmm i called they said they have discontinued all NA parts for the 370Z, I was hoping maybe someone had a set they didnt want or their are still in some one's stock....

spearfish25 08-25-2010 02:29 PM

Some of the forum sponsors were selling them. Just search for Cobb hoses or tubes and it should come up.

One of the distributors we use has one pair left in stock. It's the blue version. PM me with your address if you're interested.

WTF?!? I want a set of these things too! How expensive can it possibly be to keep a run of a product like this open?

Ugh.

If you find someone with a few sets laying around, post the info up here.

ZPirate 08-25-2010 02:59 PM

Wow! I had no problem finding them when I purchased my set. And that was only six months ago.

Showoff.

GZ3, I'll let you know if I find two pairs of black tubes. Otherwise, I think this is you and me scrambling for the last ones on the market!

HAHA, deal, Ill do the same if I find anymore...

hfrog355 08-25-2010 06:26 PM

So, I've looked all over the place - probably a dozen different places - and I've found a handful of blue, but nothing in black. This sucks.

spearfish25 08-25-2010 08:04 PM

I'll sell my black ones for $500. Would be a nice downpayment on some Stillen Gen IIIs :)

Seriously though, don't get too bent out of shape. They're purely cosmetic.

GZ3 08-25-2010 08:33 PM

500?? Deal!! Hahaha, seriously I guess if I can't find a set of these I think I will just purchase the Tekeda intake. I have heard really good things about this intake from a few of our local track guys...and they have good gains....I have also found nothing but blue ones also...still looking!!!!

WarmAndSCSI 08-25-2010 08:41 PM

HPS makes some, and they advertise pretty nice gains.

:roflpuke2:

Purely cosmetic unless you are building a custom intake.

The HPS hoses look very similar to the Cobb hoses.

Yep, and they come with t-bolt clamps as well. COBB inlet tubes don't come with anything.

Honestly, I'd rather they come with heavy-duty band clamps (not the worm kind). Cleaner and less bulky than t-bolt clamps that aren't at all necessary on a NA engine.

Plus HPS is better quality. I've had both brands of coupler/inlet tube on other cars.

http://www.hiprospeed.com/ProductDet...87-68426-4-BLK

And there is a dyno graph from an '09 G37 showing some measurable gains.

Anyway, I'm done with my $0.02. Just trying to help out the OP since the COBB tubes are likely no longer available. The only other place I'd suggest checking is RallySport Direct here in Utah - they have a LOT of stuff in stock.

No doubt! Thanks alot WARM. RallySport Direct was my place for Subaru stuff and I totally forgot about them.

doubleG370Z 08-26-2010 02:05 PM

just what I was looking for :)

hfrog355 08-26-2010 02:26 PM

Be sure to post something up about installing these if you do. They look legit, but I love hearing other's opinions.

Additionally, it's nice to know there is another option out there. I didn't want to have to spend the cash right now, but was feeling COBB was forcing me into it by ceasing production.

GZ3 08-28-2010 07:29 PM

Ordered!

Not much to say. They are a pretty easy install. You just loosen the stock hose clamps, pinch the crimp clamps on the accessory hoses that plug into the stock tubes with some pliers when removing, and then slip them in place. It probably takes less than 15 minutes.

As for gains, I think they're purely hypothetical and the butt dyno senses no change. There is no sound difference either. Consider it a purely cosmetic mod.
