^ Thanks (bump)

Jeffblue 07-02-2010 09:55 PM

finisher meaning its wrapped in rubber or like just the top. do you know the part number so i could see about it. my only concern with getting a new shift knob is heat/cold. i dont want to burn my hand in the summer and freeze in winter.

TreeSemdyZee 07-02-2010 10:02 PM

The finisher is the round washer that goes on before screwing on the knob. The knob itself is aluminum.

That's $20 more than the one I bought from one of the vendors on here. That said, yours is $20 cheaper than that... and shipped to boot!

Free bumperoony!

I have the exact same one btw... what did you decide to go with instead?

CrownR426 07-04-2010 05:16 AM

Yeah. I just grabbed the first link I could find for a description.
I went back to the stock knob. I originally wanted to put the Forged Performance knob that I had in my 350, but it
wouldn't fit right.
Thanks for the bumperoonageness.

6mtg37s 07-11-2010 06:02 PM

Is it used?

TreeSemdyZee 07-11-2010 06:49 PM

Yes. I used it four about six months.

KillerBee370 07-11-2010 10:36 PM

Sorry guys.. Unable to get a pic up because my car's in the shop getting some work done. I will get one ASAP if you still need one.

Zeto 07-11-2010 10:53 PM

Yes please. I'm in dire need of a shift knob and want to know how low it goes.

Mozen 07-12-2010 02:13 AM

Here you go, best i can provide at the moment tho. Sorry to jump on anyone elses toes if they were going to take a pic. I wasnt photographing the shifter when i took these tho lol, just the interior so i would have something to play with in Photoshop. I will say tho that this knob does get very hot in the summer and cold in the winter. That said its also lower than the stock knob and fits well into my hand for shifting. Plus people who sit in my Z seem to like it.

KillerBee370 07-12-2010 10:05 AM

Yup that's pretty much it right there! Mine sits even lower since I have a short shifter installed. All in all, a very clean looking shift knob however!

Is that white interior an option from Nissan?! Holy Shiite that would be a pita to keep clean!

Zeto 07-12-2010 10:08 AM

I believe he photoshopped it if I'm not mistaken.

Zeto 07-12-2010 10:09 AM

Where can I send payment to? Also, how long do you think before it gets to NJ?

Nope not photoshoped. At the time that was the ONLY mod i had done to my Z lol. I took those photos so i would have something to work with when i planned out the interior.

And yes the interior is a pain in the *** to keep clean. Ill be swaping out the seats for some Bride Zeta IIIs once i get the extra cash.

Back to topic tho, yes i love the shift knob.
