why would you go through the ordeal of installing headers, driving it around for 160 miles, and then taking them out and selling them? Plus taking a $300+ loss?

As said, it was a fix it ticket. But I consider myself LUCKY because he didn't referee me. that would mean I'd have to put my car 100% back to stock! Actually I told him I was catless... I didnt want him to think I was lying or something. Those referee's are CARB Nazis! They are strict

That sucks...I was under the impression that if you are discovered driving a car without catylitic converters, its a $1000 fine. I guest the PO was nice enough to only fix-it ticket you.

The cops in cali must be complete *** holes just to look at your car and pull you over for suspicion of no cat. Weird stuff

Believe me... I got lucky. I told him my mods when he asked me he only had my open my hood, maybe just to look at it? He was kind of scratching his head when he was looking at my car like he hasn't seen one before. lol I think I already have them sold, there pictures on the original thread.

That sucks big time, I like cali but Im glad in Texas we dont have to deal with any of that crap. None of my friends have ever been pulled over for car mods.
