These things seem like a farce to me, is there any merit to stillen's claims with these cables mod? I find it hard to believe that the car wasn't already designed to have the maximum grounding available built in.

Modern cars have very complex electrical requirements. Believe what you wish. Some claims may be a bit over the top, but there's no doubt that improved and redundant grounds improve the situation. On my Audi TT, a single bad ground would cause all sorts of seemingly unrelated electrical issues. The Various ground connections on the Z are very small gauge.

I guess what I was getting at was when you had these installed on your Z could you tell any difference. Stillen claims:
"These grounding kits will also improve the shifting on automatic transmission vehicles, and in most cases noticeably improve shift times and reduce lag." I have an automatic and this would be nice if it truly does deliver as advertised. Guess I should really post a new thread somewhere for this topic. congrats on the purchase rarwz, lemme know if you want help with the install! |

I had these on my last automatic, didn't make a difference. In most cases its just placebo
I should be able to handle this install in ~10min, its just 5 or 6 screws you take out, put the cable under, put back in. |
