FS: 370 Nismo Exhaust
I have a Nismo cat back exhaust that I took off my vehicle. Exhaust has only been used for 3000 miles. I am trying to get $1300 for it but am open to any reasonable offer. Will ship at buyers expense but would prefer local pick up. I will also deliver for a fee of course if in the New England area.
Thanks *Update* pictures added to my album After I took the exhaust out to take some pictures I noticed some scrapes on it. I am putting it up for $450shipped |
WOW... GLWS.. i have seen these go for $400 to $700 max, but i may be wrong.. :tiphat:

I might be wrong, but thats what I think :p |
Cut him a break. Looks like he only goined the forum to peddle his wears. Didn't do any research on this site that would have led him to discover that there are 2 types of NISMO exhuast. The one that comes on the car and the one that is sold aftermarket.
|
Everyone, I will have pictures of the exhaust posted soon. I might be wrong but the exhaust I posted with the link I thought would be the best comparison. Yes I know that there are replica exhaust systems for a lot cheaper (they do make fake Rolex watches that look just like the real thing too for a lot cheaper). Im just putting this up here to get some extra money so I can put it back into the car. If someone can give me a reasonable offer that is realistic then its all theirs.
Also this is off a Nismo. Not purchased aftermarket. I will do some reasearch seeing what the price point should be. |
How thick are you? Nobody said anything about fake NISMO exhaust. Nissan makes two different exhuasts.
1. Comes on the NISMO car (this is what you have) 2. NISMO S-tune exhaust which is sold as a aftermarket exhaust. (this is what the link takes you to) find out what you are selling before you place a value on it. |
i bought mine for 400 and it was literally in brand new condition. The going rate here is 3-500. You're not gonna get more than that given that the Nismo exhaust gives you ~5 whp whereas aftermarket will yield 3-4 times that.

Im not trying to start an argument and I apologize if I came off ignorant. All I am trying to do is sell this exhaust and not start a battle. I have searched the web and all of the nismo exhaust systems go from 1000+. This is off a 2009 nismo from the factory. If someone could suggest a good price to sell it that is fair, it would be greatly appreciated.

$400. You should be good at that.
|
$400 seems like the price to aim for.
Since the factory Nismo exhaust is just barely better than the stock exhaust....with HUGE ricey tips IMHO. Some people give their stock exhaust away for free...so $400 premium for something that's barely better is still kinda pricey IMHO. |
Looks like we have some people that know the difference between the two NISMO exhuasts. Which one is better? The S-tune or the OEM off the NISMO car? What are the gains over stock on each?

$1300 would probably be a fair price "IF" there are no better aftermarket exaust out there (e.g., Stillen, FI, Berk, etc.). Even if there are no aftermarket replacements, a used part should be sold at 60% of a brand new part; obviously, supply-and-demand dictates/supersedes everything. Anyways, good luck with the sale. |

The stock Nismo Z exhaust is a H/X pipe design...almost a true dual design. Typically these are good for low/mid range torque and power gains. The Nismo S-tune variation follows the stock Y-pipe design with bigger piping and a different muffler. There are better alternatives to this. Since we're talking actual USABLE power, I would say that the stock Nismo Z is definitely better than the S-tune exhaust due to the differences in pipe design. |
I just got rid of my Nismo S-Tune...and yes..the aftermarket is better than the real Nismo exhaust. It does have better gains but nothing to brag about...which is why I recently got the F.I. :) The actual exhaust coming off the Nismo won't sell for more than $800 TOPS. I just sold my S-tune for $500 with Stillen HFC's.
*edit* The S-Tune is better in sound...only has I think 7hp gain. I was only told is was better from the parts guys at Nissan..he explained but I didn't really listen becuz I originally purchased the ACTUAL Nismo but they intalled the wrong one |
Asking for $1300 isn't even the funniest part. It's that he's offering to deliver it "for a fee". :icon17:
