Look at the black marks on the mufflers, looks like a burn or fade tool has been used to modify any scrapes or dents in the pictures.

Birdman is correct!
short explanation is, you're supposed to see the same amount of compression artifacts all over the photo. Instead, the photo looks "Cleaned up" in one specific area. That's how you know it's been modified. slightly Longer explanation: Jpeg format uses a compression algorithm that introduces a specific type of artifact. Each time you save a jpg photo, more of them get added and because of that, the more you save a jpg file, the more artifacts you will have. Now, imagine you saved this blurry not so sharp photo a bunch of times before. You edit it and save it one more time. what you did was remove those previous artifacts on a specific area you just touched up. After you save the file again, you will have a cleaner portion in your image that stands out in tests like these. I just added some brightness to the photo so maybe it's more obvious: Last edited by zefaulter; 12-04-2015 at 04:08 PM. |

Ok, makes sense now. That's pretty low class to go through such effort to deceive some body out of their money. I hoe PayPal could do something like a partial refund for the damage.

Paypal should be refunding the entire amount for misrepresentation. Any sale is legally binding.

Let's see those videos if you still have them too Pooya, Cause if those scrapes and dents aren't in the video either that clear misrepresentation.

The photo forensics still shows a tampered photo though. Doesn't take away the fact that the damage we were previously talking about was on the other side of the mufflers.

From what I remember, because I saw this post too when I was looking for my fast intentions exhaust but didn't do it because I was having other problems with the Z, is that he made an account on the forums to be able to sell the exhaust off of his gf's/friends Z for them. Don't know how effective contacting him through the forum would be, worth a shot. Looks like Pooya talked to him mainly through FB.
I tried looking around through the For Sale threads but cant find the thread. either that or over looked it. I would try your Subscribed threads and messages Pooya

I see he has not bothered to log on since 7-22-15
So was this sale thru pm's? All I can do is remove his access to the classifieds and remove access to PM. One of my pet peeves is people that put things for sale and don't bother to clean them up. |

It was posted on 370z FB page. Only been in contact with him on FB. He's no longer a Z owner so no point removing him although it's completely up to you. Thanks for the offer

Pooya sent me updated pics via FB over the weekend and the damage is still pretty substantial to both mufflers, tips and axlebacks. Without it being fixed, he runs the risk of accidentally hitting a portion of the muffler that is already damaged and causing a hole/crack to form an exhaust leak VERY EASILY, whereas if these portions were undamaged then he would be in a better situation and chance of not forming a hole/crack in the exhaust.
With Kevin at Fast Intention quoting Pooya about $385 for each axleback section (includes shipping in price) that would be $770 and from what I remember this item was only listed for $750. Do not know if Pooya is comfortable sharing what he exactly paid for the item, but if he did say pay the $750, in the insurance game we call that a total loss and $750 would be paid to the insured. I'm still told Pooya to push for a full refund of his money through paypal due to the extent of the damage and deception of the condition for the sale. Fraud is illegal haha Also another for you Pooya, See if paypal will include him paying for the shipping for the damaged item back to him
