For Trade: Fast Intentions Exhaust for Stillen

Hey guys:

I've had the exhaust on the car for about 3 months and its awesome. I get a huge grin every time I start the car-- the sound of it is amazing! I hated the car with a stock exhaust (especially towards the redline) because the car would sound like it had an electric motor and it would buzz. But after I installed the exhaust this all changed.

Long story short. My wife will start driving my car ( in order to get something that I want and still keep the Z) and she says that she cannot stand how the exhaust looks aftermarket. She works with a bunch of old engineers and I guess they cant stand the appearance of something that is aftermarket and said something to her and now she's stuck on it. So she said that as long as I could put the stock exhaust she would bite- but I will not stand the stock sound. So I will settle for the stillen exhaust or something aftermarket that looks like the stock exhaust.

I live in am apartment complex where the covered garage is at a 45% angle and the car does not scrape the exhaust, but does scrape the front lip if I dont go at an angle. The exhaust is in perfect condition and currently installed so you can listen to it before we come to an agreement. I want to ensure satisfaction as I love this exhaust, the way it looks and sounds.

I'm located in Miami.

PM me for details in interested.

Thanks in advance.

Don't let Tony see this thread! GL with your trade. It would help if you told us which mid-pipe you have... 18", 12", or non-resonated. Oh and stainless or CF mufflers.

While the muffler location looks stock, the muffler tips stick out a bit, you sure you wanna do that?

damn..... no price.... too bad Miami is too far for me to drive.... Atlanta here.....

Good luck selling it...

More info on the exhaust please.

Sorry for the lack of info.
18" resonators and stainless steel all the way through.

^ridiculous how those tips stick out that far on the Stillen CBE.

I dont mean to tear into you but dude, seriously...this has to be the most PATHETIC excuse for selling this beautiful exhaust! Because your wifes friggin co-workers dont like the way it looks!!!!! Is this a joke? If THEY didnt like the 370z itself would you sell it? If THEY didnt like the color of the car would you paint it? I can understand if it was too loud for your wife or scraped etc but really???

Liquid_G 02-18-2010 03:42 PM

wtf? mine dont stick out that far.

edit nvm, thats the stillen in that pic.

still seems a little obnoxious.

zulus370Z 02-18-2010 04:39 PM

Holy crap- those tips look horrible. I wonder if it's because the cats?

About my reason for wanting to trade... I belive my wife got that idea from her co-workers criticism. I let her borrow my car once and her co-workers said to her "wow what a gorgeous car- too bad the fast and the furious pipes" so I believe she took that idea.
I personally think the pipes look astonishing and the sound is out of this world.

I want her to daily drive my car so I can get a 4 door jeep so I can tow a go-kart to the race track, an don't want to get rid of the z, ao I have to make it appealing for her.

My Stillen doesn't stick out like that, but my shop purposely positioned the exhaust very far forward on the hangers. (see pic) Still not very 'stock' looking though.

May I ask are you running stock cats? if not, maybe putting them back on would probably tone it down a bit....

it's not the sound that's bothering his wife or the co-workers, it's the look of the exhaust.
