quick question, if you're going to drag the car, bigger isnt better, you'd be better off with some 17's or 18's, the larger the wheel, the more rotational mass, the harder the engine has to work to push them, not to mention the tires are more expensive. Most draggers around here use 15's to save weight.

haha, the SP wheels are good looking wheels, but thats it, not trying to be a killjoy, but mickey thompsons were mentioned, eluding to drag racing, which the SP wheels are no good for, i'd like to have a set myself, but strictly for street. Ok, off the soap box, enjoy your wheels bud!

no no no.....not drag racing the car fellas...This is a dedicated autox toy.

you are correct though with rotational mass and unsprung weight, and the cost of a 19" R compound 40 treadwear tire....but in SCCA Stock class, I am restricted to run stock size wheels, even to the point that its a sport model and must run sport model size wheels....otherwise I would be running an 18" set....but would still have big ole FAT tires.

This car really needs to turn....not just run straight for 1320'....any civic with a monster turbo can run sub 10 sec times down the quarter mile.

I'd encourage anyone who has not heard of or tried an autox, to look up your local SCCA Regional club, and come out and give it a try. Then get a ride in a veteran's, well prepared car on R compound tires, you'd be amazed at what a car can do with that kind of grip!

After a good run, your heart is pounding, hands shaking, and you can't wait for the next run...

Oh, sweet, I just automatically associate mickey thompson with drag slicks. I use Nitto NT01's for auto x events, the 05's are great too, you should try them!
