Whats going on with the bottom piece where the shock connects to the lower arm? Looks rusted/cracked?

Looks like paint is cracked where the bushing meets the shock itself. Looks pretty standard to me. Though I could be wrong.

Just a bit of semantics. The370z uses no struts, the rears are also shocks. Z31 was the last Z car to use struts in the front, S30 was the only z car to use struts it the rear.

Koni just paints the entire thing and it ends up cracking. Have gone through 2 sets of Koni shocks and both sets were like this.
