FS: Takeda Intakes
 

Selling my as good as new Takeda intakes. Had them on the car for about 4 months/1000 miles. Filters are still clean.

Asking $125,- shipped.

They come complete with all nuts and bolts and manual. Everything will be shipped in the original packaging (see pics).

I've seen them in person...very nice. JB takes good care of his stuff.

Heatshields?

Nope, no real ones. There is one small heatshield though, it covers the radiator hose that runs close to the right hand side filter.

I am very interested in these however the no heat shield scares me. I dont want to lose performance by sucking in hot air. Is there aftermarket heat shields?...or maybe did you notice that you didnt need them at all? How were they for you without them as far as throttle response and sound

Performance wise I can't really comment. I didn't notice a difference and I don't have dyno results. However, people have reported some varying dyno results on this forum, ranging from a lost of 2 hp to a gain of about 9hp. Concerning throttle response I can't say I noticed a difference, stock vs. Takeda. Sound wise there is a big difference, the Takeda intakes sound great! I do miss that sound.

im going to call Takeda tomorrow to ask about buying heat shields. These things seem to suck in air hotter than the stock boxes and in some cases loose power. If i can get heat shields, I think I am in. But mainly want them for better sound when i mash the gas pedal!!! LOL What RPM do these things come alive at?

Around 4k you will hear a sound change, on heat shields, I was last told they should have some after SEMA but did not hear any news since then.

JB, called Takeda today and coudnt get heatshields. Even tried to see if 350z or g35 heatshields would work, but sadly they dont. I have no idea why every other intake they make has hietshields except these. Im still figuring it all out and am still really interested, hopefully first in line LOL. Im going to get back to you tomorrow morning. Is the price still 175 shipped?

That's too bad they still don't offer heatshields, as the Dreamer said, word was they would have some available around Sema last year. I sent you a PM as well.
