Na, this was actually one of the last mods I wanted to get until my Z is paid off so this kind of just fell right into place. Gonna get some washers this Saturday and try to install it on Sunday. Been reading it's a B to get off the OEM shift knob.

Pleasure working w/ the seller btw he got back up and out to ship it that morning cuz I was trying to get it by this weekend.

its not hard at all to remove it. I was worried too before I removed mine. Just grab it firmly and twist.

you didn't have to take off the boot and vice grip the base and have someone else twist?

I was gonna try your method first and just twist the top and hope for the best. I actually saw one dude on YouTube just by hand successfully do it.

If you have no intention of keeping the stock knob, go with the small vise grips on the shaft and a pipe wrench on the knob. If you have the materials, you could rig a thermal blanket under the knob and work it over w a heat gun before you unleash the Newton-meters.

I broke two strap wrenches trying to get mine off. Out came the pipe wrench and held the shaft with vice grips. OEM knob was destroyed but it finally released.
